Dropbox Valuation

Dear Reader,

Dropbox, the file hosting service company based in San Francisco, is currently valued at 11.43 billion USD.

I estimate Dropbox's intrinsic value is 25 billion USD. I have long watched the company and its stock price and market value have mysteriously disappointed so far. Dropbox is at the cusp of the cloud computing revolution.

Cloud computing will actually become computing itself. Yes, cloud storage of files is being commoditized, but Dropbox could easily monetize its large user base in other ways. Dropbox' revenue is still growing at a rate of above 10%. 

Activist investor's Elliott Management campaign on Dropbox currently could unlock large part of the value in the company.

In short, Dropbox has a competitive edge in the cloud computing revolution, has a very large user base of 700 million active users, has great technology and in my opinion is worth 25 billion USD.
