Bitcoin's price volatility is similar to that of small and mid capitalization technology stocks.
However, I expect sooner rather than later Bitcoin's price to decouple from the movement of technology stocks' prices.
Bitcoin is financial technology or fin-tech, but it is also a financial asset which could exhibit a slightly different price behavior.
I believe Bitcoin and the underlying blockchain is too disruptive a technology to be merely compared to information technology companies.
